French or Filipino ?

Is there much difference ?

Filipino Leche Flan

For the Custard:

12 egg yolks
1 can condensed milk
1 pint Vit D milk
1 tablespoon vanilla

For the Caramel

1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Creme caramel

For the custard

4 free-range eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
25g/1oz caster sugar
600ml/1 pint full-fat milk
pouring cream, to serve

For the caramel

160g/6oz sugar
six tablespoons of water
